About Me

Let me start off by saying that I am beyond terrible at writing things about myself. They usually make very little sense and are painful to read but we’ll give this a go…

Anyways, my name is Nicole and I am currently a sophomore at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). I am a Biology/Pre-med major with a Physics and a Math minor which, I know, is crazy sounding but I don’t exactly do things halfway as I’m sure you’ll soon learn. When I’m not in class, I love to hang out with my friends, have fun and more than anything, workout! It’s one of my absolute favorite past times and the reason that I started this blog. I was inspired by other bloggers to talk about my routine and be completely honest about the good, the bad and the ugly.

Why hello there!

I’ll start with the good, as that is always a nice place to start. For one, working out makes me happy! That rush of endorphine that you get once you have finished a hard workout is hard to come by any other way. There are very few times throughout my normal days when I feel more accomplished or inspired then after I finish a workout. It gives me a chance to think things through and just relax in between my insane schedule of classes, meetings and of course, fun time!

Now for the bad and the ugly, which I want to combine because they go hand in hand. The other side to starting this blog was to help people who have maybe been in the same situation as me or are headed in that direction. During my 7th grade year of school, I began to develop disordered eating which essentially ran rampant until my junior year of high school when I finally told my mom. Since then, I have worked to try and get it under control and although every day isn’t a success, it is still a step in the right direction. If this blog helps even one person avoid the sadness and pain that I have dealt with in the past with my eating disorders, then I will be beyond happy.

Now on to other things. I will warn you here that I am not a nutritionist, a personal trainer or a dietician. I have no medical degree or any other certifications concerning health (although I do like to think of myself as certified in awesome!) Always be sure to check with a doctor before trying any new workouts!

Finally, if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me! I love talking to people and will probably give you a longer response than you would like (or want)! I don’t bite…I promise!
